Apple Bee Sling FAQs
Why are the cushions of the Sling series so thick compared to other sets?
The Apple Bee Sling is designed with a focus on maximum ergonomic comfort. The cushions are up to 20 cm thick and feature a special internal structure. This provides the perfect balance between the softness to sink into and sufficient firmness for proper posture.
Can the Sling lounge set stay outside all year round?
Yes, the Sling series is fully "All-Weather." The frame is made of durable teak wood and the cushions feature BEE WETT® technology. However, we do recommend covering the set with a breathable AeroCover during the winter or storing the cushions in a dry place to keep them free of dirt and algae for the new season.
How do I prevent the thick Sling cushions from smelling musty after rain?
This is prevented by the BEE WETT® filling. Unlike standard foam, this filling does not retain moisture. Rainwater simply runs right through it. Thanks to the open structure at the bottom of the cushion, constant ventilation occurs, which effectively prevents mold and musty odors.
How do I best maintain the teak wood of the Sling series?
Teak is a natural product. If left untreated, the frame will weather to a beautiful natural grey shade. Do you want to maintain the original brown color? If so, first clean the wood with a Teak Cleaner and then apply a Teak Protector. For an extra dirt-repellent layer, you can also use a Teak Shield.
